Clipping to a polygon layer

Radius layers and image layers can be clipped to another map layer. By doing so, you can focus attention on areas of interest, combine multiple images on the same map, restrict drawn radius circles to land masses, and generally create more informative maps.

To clip a radius layer or image layer to the outlines of another layer:

  1. In the Map Layers window, select the map layer that you wish to clip.
  2. Open the Map Style window by clicking the "Style" button in the toolbar
  3. Select the "Map Features" tab in the Map Style window
  4. Check the box labeled "Clip" and select a layer from the pop-up button menu.
